What should I expect from my first session with Jessie?
A first session includes conversation with Jessie to review your goals, your areas of pain or restriction and your health history (including any surgeries, car accidents or traumas). Jessie will give you a postural assessment and introduce you to her process. You will breathe and move through some basic exercises on the mat. Jessie, through hands on adjustments, will feel for areas of tension and begin to learn the unique movement patterns of your body. Together you will formulate a plan to empower your body, bringing it into a state of health with a calm nervous system, supported by breath and deep inner strength using the Pilates system.

What is Pilates?
Pilates is a full body workout system that strengthens, lengthens and tones your whole body. This system, designed by Joseph Pilates, is intended to strengthen and enhance the body and mind and spirit. It is a program for a lifetime that help return the body to health.

Can I do Pilates?
You can begin at any age, you neither have to be fit or flexible, nor do you need prior experience.

What do I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing and bare feet or socks. The tighter the clothes the better so that Jessie can easily see your movements and alignments.

What is the payment policy?
Payment is due at the beginning of each month for all scheduled standing appointments to take place in that calendar month.

What is the cancellation policy?
Please realize that standing appointments are at a premium. All appointments are confirmed and held for you at the beginning of each month. If you need to cancel a session, please allow at least 24 hours notice so Jessie can offer another appointment time during that calendar week if any are available. If you cannot make any of the offered alternate times, the paid appointment is forfeited. There are no “roll over” credits into the next month.
